Install

The CLI is a single self-contained binary. It needs no runtime, and installs into your home directory without sudo.

The script:

1. Detects your OS and CPU. On a Mac running a shell under Rosetta, it still picks the native Apple silicon build.
2. Downloads https://selltraces.ai/cli/latest/<target>.zip and checks its SHA-256 against the published manifest when one is available.
3. Puts the binary at ~/.selltraces/bin/selltraces.
4. Adds that folder to your PATH in the files your shells read, including non-interactive ones: ~/.zshenv, ~/.bashrc, ~/.bash_profile or ~/.profile, and fish config when present.
5. Links the binary into ~/.local/bin too, if that folder is already on your PATH, so it works in the current session.

Set these environment variables before bash:

In PowerShell:

irm https://selltraces.ai/install.ps1 | iex

This installs to %USERPROFILE%\.selltraces\bin\selltraces.exe and adds that folder to your user PATH. Open a new terminal afterwards.

selltraces update

This downloads the latest release for your platform and replaces the binary in place. Running the installer again does the same thing.

rm -rf ~/.selltraces

Then remove the line that mentions .selltraces/bin from your shell startup files. On Windows, delete %USERPROFILE%\.selltraces and remove it from your user PATH in System Settings.

Removing the CLI does not delete traces you already uploaded. See Earnings and payouts to exclude them.
